Shady

Not much to report today. It doesn't seem to have got light all day - we've been spoilt by the last week of crisp clarity. It's always shady down here under the old bridge - the Ahankeeshta river slipping down under it over the stripey rocks and out to the sea. Before the bridge was built in the mid 19C, travellers probably crossed over the river at this point for Ahakista  means ford of the chest or cist. That's my theory anyway.
