Copse near Blackford Hill

Last day of my week off work. Still quite cold, but the frost is slowly melting. This time I walk down to the Hermitage of Braid, and then around Blackford Hill to Blackford Pond before heading home for coffee.

Walking out of the Hermitage, along an muddy icy paths, there is this copse of trees that, from the sound of it, is home to quite a few corvids.

I walk down to Blackford pond. Someone is flying a drone from the top of the hill. People are slowly walking up the icy path that I am slowly sliding down.

Blackford Pond is frozen over, apart from a small part at the north occupied by the swan family. The gulls, extra, have to make do with the ice.
