Bigton Community Shop

The country shops are a vital part of the life of a Shetland village. The Bigton Shop shown here is owned by the village and is generally staffed by volunteers in addition to a general manager. If the villagers hadn't taken on the idea of the Co-operative it would have closed down a few years ago.
