Crazy bug!

This beetle has already 'drowned' in the pool twice, and lived.

Yesterday I fished him out and laid him by the side of the pool with the intention of looking him up in my book. I never got round to identifying him and by later that evening he'd climbed right to the top of the Mas wall... and so obviously wasn't as dead as I'd thought.

This morning there he was yet again, face down in our pool. I fished him out, photographed him, and then moved him into the shade of a bush... just in case he wasn't as dead as he looks here.

When I looked for him later he'd gone, and hopefully he won't end up in the pool again!
