Another coat or two of oil and the Christmas creation will be complete (bang on schedule and within budget, I hasten to add).
Inlaying the stars was the last thing to do and I nearly crapped out for fear of spoiling all my previous hard work. But after several practice runs, I took the plunge. I'm really glad I did - they totally make it.
On the downside, the more time I've spent in the shed carving, sanding and polishing, the more I've started seeing myself in a completely new light.
