Re-thinking Islam

One of my laws was broken today. It's the one that says: 'When I go to the Book Festival it always rains'. Well, I'm there now, and it's not raining and I don't think it's rained all day (the grass in Charlotte Square is still muddy, however, even though it's barely rained (compared to normal...) during the Festival). Anyway, I'm at a debate about Rethinking Islam with a panel including the Grand Mufti of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which was one of the aspects which motivated me to come. Anyway, the question I think I'll ask is: 'why are there no (Muslim) women on the panel?'. There is only one woman on the panel, and she's Ruth Wishart the moderator. Hmmmm.
