Wild ...........

It was a wildly cold morning in the wilds of Lincolnshire and this is a frosted branch on our wild apple tree ...... despite the sky being the bluest of blue it was freeeeezing out there!!

Thank you for all the lovely things you said yesterday about my Mum's little teddy bear ...... a lot of them brought tears to my eyes but in a kind of good way!

Now, I have a serious(ish) question:

I/we drink a lot of tea and always "top the pot" -  is it more economical to refill the kettle and boil straightaway, then reboil the hot water when the pot needs topping or does it use less electricity to boil the kettle from cold when actually needed around ten minutes later??

(I know you should always use freshly boiled water for tea and there is a train of thought that reboiled water tastes different but I'm talking ordinary breakfast tea here, nothing fancy - I have never been able to tell the difference)
