Pentlands

I am planning a sprint orienteering event in the Bughtlin part of Edinburgh in February, and went around the area this morning checking the map. It was unexpectedly sunny and quite mild, so we decided to go up Caerketton and Allermuir this afternoon. It was windier than we thought but the sunset was good; the blip is from Caerketton looking to Carnethy and Scald Law as the sun was slipping into the cloud. We are very lucky that a 15 to 20 minute drive gets us to such fine wee hills that never disappoint. This evening we watched Charlie Brooker’s 2016 wipe; as ever very amusing, but how the hell did Trump get elected with all those lies? A mystery.
