Old York, Old York . . .

Left Glasgow this morning in miserable weather to drive to York for a few days.

The day got better and better and in mid-afternoon we entered York  through Micklegate in glorious sunshine. We'd booked a holiday flat until Friday.

The forecast is for deteriorating weather, but fingers crossed it won't be as bad as at home! Tomorrow the plan is to drive up to Castle Howard - the house is closed but the grounds are open.
