Lincolnshire morning

Post-Xmas backblip 2

A big Lincolnshire sky and view across the fields from the bottom of MrM Senior's garden.
A lovely morning, and we took Louie for his walk by the River Witham - a little frost by the water's edge, but pleasantly warm in the sun. On the way back we passed a blue-eyed 'tiger' hunting and some splendid rare-breed sheep (see Extras).

Angus needed to go back to Gainsborough today, and we had hoped that MrM's dad would come with us for the ride and lunch out, but he made his excuses and refused to be swayed. So, after brunch at an American-style diner (awful, but the only place open en route for Gainsborough) and dropping Angus back home, MrM and I spent a couple of hours wandering around Louth. A nice town with, bizarrely, an amazingly huge number of hair salons and nail bars!

Back to Woodhall to spend the evening with MrM's dad. Good to see MrM's sister L and her family, too - they called in on their way back home in Bristol.
