Shelter Box

At Shelter Box headquarters, Water-Ma-Trout, Helston this afternoon with 'L' a friend of mine. We went to a presentation of the work they do all over the world, sending out shelter boxes. these boxes have a large tent in it, plus ground sheet, blankets, cooking pots, cooking tools, water pure-firers, tools, solar energy light, clockwork radio with solar panel on top, and a knitted Teddy and much more. A stove is provided separately.

It was a very well presented and very interesting afternoon. With this charity you can definatly see where the money is going and it is local to Cornwall. The boxes are all assembled there, then they are distributed all around the world, they are stored in places where there have been known disasters and in good distribution spot so they can get to where they are needed very quickly.
