Tekapo Lupins

Well by the time we were ready for home the clouds were starting to lift.
The lupins are passed their best but you should have seen the crowds photographing them me included. The cars were banked up on either side of the road. It was rather dangerous really. The tourists were loving it, photographing each other among them. I couldn't linger as our other car load were ahead and waiting for us in Fairlie.
Fairlie has become famous for its pies and we thought we would have lunch there. Another hilarious moment when we arrived the queues were out the shop and way up the street. However they had lots of staff on and they were pushing them through.
Home and got the washing done and even ironed it tonight and now its raining. This summer will go down as the year we have weather of all seasons each week.
My three days away has been just great. Great company, great food and some nice times of just sitting having a quiet drink and watching the world go by.
