Fleetwood Beach Kiosk

Serving hot coffee on a cold January afternoon and open all year round this wooden refreshments kiosk is very popular with visitors to Fleetwood and locals. It's been there as long as I can remember and I've had many an ice cream in the summer. It hangs over the edge of the promenade, fixed by stilts into the sand; it's a wonder it has survived the many winter storms.

The white building behind belongs to the Fleetwood Nautical College and many a seafarer from around the world has learnt navigation skills here.

Fleetwood is a fascinating town whose main claim to fame is that it was the first planned town since Roman Times. There is free parking all along the 'prom.' Well worth a visit.
