I was glad today with a lot of office work to do that it was miserable outside and whilst making a warming cuppa I glimpsed this gorgeous male great spotted woodpecker on the feeder, in the rain, getting drenched - poor thing! Even the dogs looked out of the door and then back at me questioningly, 'You really aren't going to make us go outside in that?!!!! Are you? 

As it is Mono Monday I felt it worked ok in black and white.
