Museum of Biblical Art--NYC

This is is a view from the second floor of the Museum of Biblical Art, looking south along Broadway (it's at 61st Street)--a very modern building. We visited a small but utterly exquisite exhibition of paintings mainly by the 14th century artist from Siena, Italy, Bartolo di Fredi.

The exhibition's centerpiece is this large altarpiece depicting the Adoration of the Magi, nearly two meters (6 feet) high (1385-88), on special loan from from the Pinacoteca Nazionale in Siena.A wonderful chance to see a major work which (I believe) had never before been loaned from Italy.
