At the market

Today we got out early and got a taxi up to the St Clara Convent.  You needed to be there by 10 to pick up the tour,  It was very interesting and used to be a closed convent and the nuns never left the convent.  We were shown the private chapels and how the nuns took their communion away from the main church but still in the same building.  They now run a kindergarten and the children were dressed up to celebrate the end of Christmas called Clearing the Cupboards day when they get rid of all the food and drink and put away the decorations.  it is really on the 15h but as that was a Sunday they do it on the Monday.  We walked back into the centre and headed of the bazaar to get yet more bits and pieces - on to the fabric shop to get some more black to line the waistcoats I have been bribed into doing for KG and Brian and then on to the market to get a Madeira hat for Brian.  Then a taxi back to the hotel and a much needed coffee before heading for lunch - such a tough life.  My blip is a grab shot as we hurried through the market.  All in all we did quite well today.
Lovely sunny day but still windy although the wind seems to be dropping now

More about Larry tomorrow!!
