The pageant of the Golden tree

It's happening every 5 years in Bruges and is a big evenement for the city. . This was a joust that was 'fought' in 1468 on the market square in Bruges to mark the occasion of the marriage of Charles the Bold, Count of Flanders and Duke of Burgundy, to the English princess, Margaret of York. In addition to the medieval legend of the Golden Tree, the pageant also depicts scenes from the history of Flanders and the ceremonial entry of the bridal couple into the city.
