Raspberry got a cat tree

It was an exciting afternoon until I noticed that the gigantic shipping box was damaged. Of course a small area of veneer on the large vertical piece of the cat tree turned out to be damaged also in a small section. It's chipped just above the first rectangular opening, cosmetic, not structural damage. Re-boxing and shipping a 6ft/1.8 meter box would be a huge challenge. The UPS delivery guy just dropped it off and left. Luckily Gregory was around to help me get the box inside. I saw the torn, taped box and was immediately worried. The chipped, peeled area is in a location that could be dressed up/covered up with a small, screwed in brass plaque with her name or something silly, like "Climb at your own risk ! " That's my vote, we'll see what T says when she comes home. At the moment it's taking up most of the floor space as you enter the house. We have a special blip pal coming Friday to go to the Boston Women's March with us, so something has to be decided tonight. The damage is cosmetic, not structural and I think some creativity can save the day. Raspberry will have to wait for the decision from the mamas.

For the Record,
This day came in drizzly and never cleared.

All hands healthy

UPDATE
T aggravated herself with an Amazon Prime Rep, an online chat. The first rep was useless, but the customer service rep she finally got next handled it. They will ship another cat tree, we can take out the piece we need, put the damaged one in it's place and UPS will come pick it up. The box was so damaged and the cardboard so flimsy that we could not possibly ship it back in that container. The new one should arrive in a week. The box was left with the damaged side down, large re-taped holes. It should never have gone out for delivery, Or it was damaged today and fixed by the driver, we'll never know. So, she waits for her present as I type.
