Industrial River

I never really think of the Forth as an industrial river. I know many of its paths and beaches, bridges and marinas, even the docks at Leith. Somehow I forget the shipyards at Rosyth with their cranes, and the refinery at Grangemouth belching smoke and steam. Today the burning red sunset somehow evoked the searing temperatures of a furnace or chemical plant.

This was the view we got when heading back to Edinburgh from my parents house. We've had a lovely time with family over Christmas, but it's nice to be home now, just the two of us and our cat. Time for some relaxation before the next round of celebrations commence!

You can see my blip in the distance on MrsCyclops blip for today too!
