Monday 27 August 2012: He is a treasure

The weather is wet and abysmal today, so I thought a lunchtime walk to the Scottish National Portrait Gallery (Queen Street) was in order, where I blipped the wonderful Robert Louis Stevenson, a famous son of this town.

Robert Louis Balfour Stevenson (13 November 1850 - 3 December 1894) was a Scottish novelist, poet, essayist, and travel writer. His most famous works are Treasure Island, Kidnapped, and Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde.
