Trafalgar square after the rain

Recognised by many as being the heart of London, Trafalgar square is where people meet, events are launched and where celebrations happen. The picture shows the north end of the square which is dominated by the National Gallery and has been captured just after a downpour. On the front of the gallery can be seen the Paralympian logo as a recognition that the games will soon be taking place in London. Also prominent in the picture is the church of St. Martin in the fields, so called because at one point it really did used to be surrounded by fields as it nestled between the cities of London and Westminster.
