Mercat Cross, Aberdeen

Not such good weather today, but after a leisurely start we walked back into town, grabbing coffee and bacon paninis on the way! This is one of the buildings behind the Mercat Cross (with it's white unicorn on top hiding behind a shield). We though that some of these 'castle' style buildings were interesting and more suited to areas of Germany than the north-east of Scotland! Maybe someone knows the history!
