The Phoenix Rises

Young sailor Jim

My father was just like a youngster, when we took him out on the water in our boat Sally. He hadn't been in a boat for a lot of years and on this particular piece of water for about 40 years.

He even managed to rinse off a fishing line, but as usual, Sally scared off all the fish and saved them again.

We all managed a few turns around the bay and Sandy and Stewart's boat managed to sink a bouy. Not an easy feat I might add.

We had a lovely family meal.

The evening boat trip in the fading light, trawling for the sunken bouy with 2, yes 2 lobster pots attached, was fun......if not sensible. I had never been on the water at night and seen the Bioluminescence in the boat's wake before.
That was amazing. Unfortunately the bouy and the pots stayed where they were......for the time being.
