These lovely bright red lanterns were festooned all round Leicester's Clock Tower today. They were put up to celebrate the start of the Chinese New Year - the Year of the Rooster. They certainly cheered up the city centre.

We went into town for a couple of things - cheese and photo paper - and I found (and bought) some very nice fabric off the market.
