Plover Scar Lighthouse

These men are rebuilding the lighthouse at Cockersand. It was partially destroyed in March 2016 when a ship ran in to it. It's a slow job as they can only work on it at low tide.

Bird sightings:

pink footed goose - 6000 ( I didn't count them but experienced birders told me there were at least this number in the fields)

whooper swan - hundreds.

lapwing - hundreds

curlew - 1 ( I managed to count this myself)

I also spotted a male and female goosander at Glasson Dock.

I couldn't believe how many little lambs I saw in the fields today. Is it spring?
