Green blanket

What a difference a day makes.

Our 10-year old was playing 'tig' in the playground at lunchtime, when a trip and spectacular fall where he did the splits led to a complete fracture of his thigh bone.

Somehow they managed to get him from the playground to the Medical Rooms at school, but we needed to get an ambulance to get him to hospital. A few hours in A&E being assessed and X-rayed (so we could see the break in all its splendour). Then admitted to the Royal Hospital for Sick Children.

The green blanket from school was rather the worse for wear by the end of the day, but we've managed to make sure it stayed with us.

We don't know what the next few days will bring, but for sure it will be sore.
