It's a shoe-in

I was looking at my walking shoes this morning as we as we were deciding where to walk. The decision was made, into town for a new pair of shoes and of course, a coffee. While we have a slight reluctance to partonise Sports Direct, they do usually have a good choice of footware at reasonable prices. In the end I came away with a pair costing £40 which will last just as long as a pair 2 or 3 times the cost given the amount of miles we cover.

An afternoon of work and various tasks intervened before we set of to see Fairport Convention at the Gulbenkian Theatre in Canterbury. This is Fairport's 50th Anniversary tour and while the music was good the audience were a little subdued. Fairport's musicians are phenomenal: Simon Nichol, the mulit-intrumentalist Chris Leslie, Dave Pegg, fidder Ric Saunders and drummer Gerry Conway. They all came out after the show for a chat and to sign their celebratory 50th Anniversay ablum called 50/50.
