The Wooing of Etáin

Just back from Faery class 4 and the Wooing of Etáin - a fabulously complicated tale, possibly around 4000 years old - pour yourself  a stiff drink and get immersed here here if you fancy. Basically Etáin was super gorgeous, married off to Midir, who also got her weight in silver but Midir already had a wife who was not thrilled to see Etain and turned her into a fly  - a rather gorgeous one. After a lot of wafting around the coast of Ireland Etáin, as fly, landed up in someone's drink, was swallowed and reborn. Phew! There wasn't a whole lot of wooing as far as I could see.

Any ideas what the abstract is - only slightly fartnarkled and found within the very elegant classroom which comes with a roaring fire and damask tablecloths. We also have tea and biscuits from china cups at half time - most civilised.
