Sunday 2 September 2012: Blistering barnacles

This will be a quick blip and run, as I am due to meet someone on the Shore in about five minutes.

In tribute to Captain Haddock, here are some blistering barnacles and other little shells from over Silverknowes way.

This morning has been irritating, in the sense that we tried to go to the Marks and Spencer outlet at Meadowbank shortly after 9am, on the basis that this was what time it said it opened today on the M&S website. Aha. Not until 10am. So we doubled back to Silverknowes to take photos and then returned an hour later.

And for today's link, given that yesterday we went to a somewhat over-nudified play on Alice in Wonderland's adventures, please find under the link the truly wonderful Department of Omnishambles take on how best to give your research 'impact'.
