Thursday 1 January 2009: Bournemouth Charity Swim....
Down at the beach today we encountered the locals doing their annual New years day dip, the air temperature was 0°C and with the wind factor was a chilly -5°C, Eleven hardy souls made the effort and waded into the sea at 12:00pm on the dot.
I was cold just looking at them, two of them stayed in a full five minutes before coming out, and the girl had a very small bikini on.
We then went and had a nice hot cup of coffee and cake, then went for Lunch.
