Ribbon Candy

We've been chipping away at the yardwork, getting ready to plant, although it seems awfully early. Pulling up the sourgrass (oxalis) always reveals interesting plants underneath--forgotten bulbs and hibernating perennials. And some curious bugs, like the Woodlouse Spider in Extras. Never saw that one before, and it's okay with me if I don't see it again. There's still a lot of cleanup to be done from the storm flood we had in the back yard, but it's just work--lots of raking and sorting and weeding, nothing very serious. It's always so rewarding to finish a corner and sit back and admire it from a good comfortable chair.
