Tiny Tuesday - Flowering Cherry Macro

Whilst my compact camera and my light weight travel camera take reasonable macro shots I had forgotten just how a decent macro lens on a SLR can add so much quality to one's macro shots. I went out today with a second-hand 100mm macro on my Canon D7 and was blown away by the silky smooth backgrounds it can create for 'out of focus' backgrounds. For instance this flowering cherry was on an outer branch of the bush and I was shooting into the bush but the tangle of shoots and branches behind have just disappeared, leaving me with a wonderful smooth toned backdrop. I must remember to take this combo out again on a Tiny Tuesday challenge.
