Clock Tower - Cardiff

FRIDAY

A good start to the day with a Welsh breakfast and a walk around Bute Park in the sunshine.

This afternoon we had a guided tour of the castle apartments which were built for the Marquises of Bute with the royalties and income from their considerable mining and land interests in the area.

The 150' clock tower was built as a suite of batchelor rooms for the Third Marquis in 1868.

The extra is one of the ornamental trees in the adjacent Bute Park. The park has more champion trees than any other municipal park in Britain - the Arboretum alone contains over 3000 catalogued species.

The final extra is of 3 random guys who saw me taking photos and wanted to pose.
