Wednesday 5 September 2012: Canal wall

Here is a wall I pass on my way to work each day. I like the look of this because of the way it's been built (over many years, I think). Lower down and near the canal it almost looks like a dry stone wall, but further up it's more like the usual mortar wall of an Edinburgh tenement back green.

I was out at the Water of Leith Centre this evening (at a meeting of dry stone wallers) and on my way home I met a badger who was trotting along our street. Do badgers eat chickens?

Many thanks for all your advice on getting chickens. I hope I'll have a blip on this topic before too long ;o)
