Thursday 6 September 2012: Birthday Surprise
Knock Knock Knock
We knocked at one door and then another and another until we had gathered everyone from the 5th floor. Then we headed up stairs.
Pad Pat Pad Pat
All of our bare feet could be heard on the stairs (and some giggling too), but no one seemed to notice.
Knock Knock Knock (Quieter this time)
We gathered more people as we passed more doors. Finally we arrived at the end of the hallway.
The plan was to have one person go in first to turn off the fan and lights (we've done this before, the fan will always get the candles first if you are not careful.)
A quick knock and we opened the door. The lights were already off, so we all piled in the room.
Where's Pun? Then we looked at the lump in her bed. She was already tucked tight under her covers (head and all.)
At the count of three we pulled the covers back and started singing, "Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday to you..."
She sat up and gave us a big smile.
