Dunglass Collegiate Church

A fine morning with my local camera club pottering around Dunglass Church beyond Dunbar.   Hadn't been before but well worth a visit.   Dates back to the c15th.  In 1423, Sir Alexander of Dunglass (the landowner) employed priests (a college) to pray for the family's souls and the chapel was given collegiate status.    It was used as a church up until the c18th and then as a barn.

More recently restored to something of its former glory - it is under the supervision of  Historic Scotland and frequently used as a wedding venue.  I thought the mono treatment suited the church.

After the church we walked down to the nearby beach and I spotted some interesting rock formations (see extra photos).

This seems to be my 1000th Blip with is quite remarkable - what a lot of water under the bridge.
