Glen Dessary to Loch Nevis

There are some remote places in Scotland ... and then there are some far more remote places. Glen Dessary is one - a long drive along the length of Loch Arkaig, followed by a cycle up to the largely uninhabited Upper Glen Dessary.

A relentless haul up the side of Sgurr nan Coireachan afforded this view to the SouthWest across the distant Loch Nevis and the sea beyond. The unmistakable profile of the isle of Eigg can just be seen hiding under the clouds.
