Huge electric motor

Yes, this is really a big one!
Look at the aerosol down at the left to check the dimensions.
It is about 13 feet high.
Takes about 1560 KWatt and runs at 332 revs. per minute; Quite slow, actually.
It is connected to a powersupply of 10000 Volts.

It waits till the sea coolingwaterpump itself returns from the workshop on saturdaymorning and after installing the motor must be reconnected.
So there is a lot of work to do before mondaymorning because the cooling waterpumps have to be running when the unit will be started up.
So at sunday the safety precautions have to be discontinued and the pump has to be tested (i.e. if it runs into the right direction; see the little arrow in the middle of he motor).
After that we will start up the unit in the night wich will take about 3 or 4 hours because the boiler and (mainly) the steamturbine are very cold after a week standstill.
