Tuesday 31 July 2012: Socks
Today we had the pleasure of who has become known as "Sock Lady", who is travelling the UK collecting fleece from every breed of sheep, hand-spinning the wool and knitting as she goes. She stayed a couple of days on the island and is absolutely lovely, and patiently taught us how to hand-spin using nothing but a clump of fleece and a stick or bone!
