Affogato for 2

Continued the birthday celebration today with a wonderful Italian lunch on the outdoor patio of a favorite neighborhood restaurant (hence the dappled sunlight) with best friend R. The best mussels, salad and this dessert to die for (lushious vanilla gelato with a shot of espresso poured over) and 2 1/2 hours of catch up talk. What a treat!!! Thank you, R!!

This afternoon we picked up the granddaughters from school and had dinner here- a new schedule for us as Fiona is now at daycare 5 days. (no more Tuesdays) Tatum says I will have to change the blip to "Faces of Fiona and Tatum". Next week.....

Just watched our president fire up the people at the Democratic Convention. 60 days from now he better still be our President!
