We decided to start on a less maths intensive app I set her on a tutorial to build a paintpot app which we'd re-pupose into a makeup app.

She more or less got all of the tutorial build herself just getting stuck at a couple of points.  It was a good introduction to various parts of the interface so that when we worked together on the paint mixer section of it she was more familiar with where everything was.
