Blossom

Looking across the valley the blossom on the trees near the roadside (A624 South out of Gossop) caught the eye in the morning.

An evening walk towards the hills was rewarding - 4 Sand Martins seen and finally a first SWALLOW at Mossy Lea Farm spotted on the way back.

The Curlews are very noisy now and protecting their territories.  Still not see a Wheatear and I tried hard this time. They were all Meadow Pipits (extra photo) on further examination
