The big bluebell watch

I've always had bluebells in the garden. They're happy here and a joy every spring. They certainly aren't the bluebells of Scotland though and are probably some monstrous interloper. I comfort myself by saying that I've never planted any kind of bluebell bulb. They were well established when we moved here over 30 years ago so the planting was someone else's choice. Most of the gardens round here have this variety.

I keep hoping the sun will break through the clouds but it's stubborn today. Not cold though so the seeds I've planted have a chance of germinating, if I remember where I've put them and stop raking them up.
