Undulations

A fabulous walk early this morning with one of my dear friends visiting for the weekend. We hiked south from our house toward the cliffs that overlook the Columbia River and the Oregon side of the Gorge.

This photo is a view toward the east, of undulating hill formations. If you look closely you may see several wind turbines near the left edge of the photo.

Surprisingly when we looked at the Oregon side, we we could see Mt. Jefferson quite clearly, located about 80 miles to the south. It's distant visage is captured in one of the extras, along with the much closer Mt. Hood. The other extra shows a mass of bright red Indian Paintbrush, soft yellow Desert Parsley in the foreground and brighter yellow Balsam Root in the middle distance.

Wishing you all a good week ahead.
