It's been a strange sort of a day. The train was late for a start - it still left the station on time, so it didn't matter really!

I got a call from my Dad as the train arrived at Metheringham to say that they would pick me up from the station to save time, as we were going over to the Citizen's Advice Bureau at Sleaford.

Remember the Form I'd filled in back in March? We still hadn't heard from those people, and my parents had received a letter to say they would lose their rent and council tax rebate. This was quite a concern for my Dad, though they would manage financially if it came to it...

To cut a long story short, that form was the wrong thing - the advisor they'd seen from the DLA had initially advised them wrongly and we'd done all that for nothing! They helped us fill in the right (much simpler) form and now we have to wait again to hear from the DLA...

The whole procedure is very complex. The CAB advisor we first saw could not get even his head round it all and had to fetch someone who specialised in this area. She said they (DLA, etc.) make it complicated on purpose in the hope that people will give up...Nice of them!!

By the time it was finally sorted out it was gone 1PM. My Dad's blood sugar was starting to fall, and my Mum was saying she was hungry every two minutes (Literally!) So we stopped at a diner on the way home for food. I had a bacon sarnie, which was good enough!

These records were on sale in there for £2 each!  I remember the covers of some of them though there is nothing here that I ever owned!

After all that I'm at work tonight!
