Lisbon Lisboa

I had no expectations. And when you have none it's so easy to be amazed. And I was. 6 hours transit through Lisbon so I headed into the city and wandered the back streets, strolled along the beer and burnt myself under the radiant heat. Beautiful quaint city teeming with history and character.

En route though to Guinea Bissau so my tourist lens is tainted with thoughts of an x colony of Portugal that now ranks 176 out of 179 countries. History may have been relatively kind to Portugal, but not to Guinea Bissau. More to follow this week .....
