Grasshopper

I was painting a house as usual and noticed this big bug on a conduit pipe. It's some sort of grasshopper, I determined with a bit of searching, and not a katydid or cicada or cricket. This grasshopper may be in its swarming phase, i.e. a locust, but I saw only the one. It certainly has been eating its fill of the leaves near it. Perhaps it decided to have a nice nap in the sun to help digest a belly full of foliage.

What more can i say? Hop, hop! Munch, munch!
