The hunger for Education: Porridge time

When we meet women's groups in villages their first priority is always clean water and pumps, but close behind is preschools. Children don't go to Primary school until age 6, and by then for many its too late.
Women are so anxious to have their little ones in school, and thats where we come in.
We help the villages to set up their local structures after they have most things in place and then we train the carers.

If they want a building later, they mist locate the site and agree location with Social Welfare people. Then they make and build the bricks and fix the roofing timbers.
When all this is in place and the school is in full swing, we provide the iron sheets. 
It's THEIR school, we assist.
Training continues in clusters where women from groups of schools work with each other and teach each other with our help.

After such a training morning Miriam and Margaret returned to this little school to see how things were going.

Again, not much to look at but its a beginning.
