Walking near Dunkeld, Perthshire

First of all I would like to thank you all for the lovely comments, sprinkling of stars and of course the wonderful hearts that you gave to my yesterday's journal picture.  This is a wonderful community and I am delighted to have been blipping now for six years, and hope to continue for another six.......

Today was our club walk, and we headed up to Birnham where we had coffee and scones before starting our walk just outside Dunkeld.

We walked for almost ten miles, most of the time it was sunny but it had been predicted that we would get heavy rain midday.....and we did.   We came upon a big building run by (well, I had better not say) and the kind gentleman there allowed us to shelter to eat our lunch.  It made such a difference to have our sandwiches dry, and when we started off again the rain had cleared and we had sunshine for the rest of our walk.

Those of you who visit regularly will know that the HG has had ham string problems for quite a while now, since the beginning of April, and has had various physiotherapy treatments and has exercised as advised.  He is beginning to see the results of it all, and today I blipped him, the one on the left of the picture, as he walked through the gorse with some mates.  He really enjoyed the day, seems to have turned the corner now.

It was a great walk, lots of ups and downs, but done at a great pace so that we could enjoy the views, take photographs etc.

We had a social hour in the pub in Dunkeld, and I thoroughly enjoyed my glass of red wine!!!!
