It's Friday, It's Five Thirty Five, Yaba..daba..doooooooo

The weekend starts here. View from the bus stop after a busy week. A great place for people watching and lots of students warming up for 'Freshers' - all wearing silly T-shirts and full of the joys of reckless youth!

Newcastle has a very under rated and interesting civic centre building with an old church next door. It is a great place for students and a very international hub. Wait for later and it will be very lively indeed - a party city on most weekends. In a weeks time there will be over 30,000 students from all over the world in this relatively compact centre. It is supporting the whole economy of the North East!

Proof again - that the government does not have a clue what it is doing in terms of 'buying votes' by making cheap mischief regarding unauthorised immigration. Life would be incredibly boring and probably intensely xenophobic and parochial if it were not for this annual influx.

Welcome everyone to International Newcastle - and oh by the way - we have the small matter of a little race on Sunday.....
